Yet another Culture Crusading Family Values Bible Thumping Warrior has resigned for being caught in a sex scandal.
I don’t want to write a name, so that way, this blog is evergreen!
The people who insist that everyone must be straight and a virgin until marriage – and never stray from that marriage are always the ones caught doing exactly not what they say everyone should do. But, then again, I guess they really mean everyone else. Do as I pray, indeed.
Remember the Republican party refrain? All together:
Never get caught with a live boy or a dead girl.
Yet, the the conservative republican christo-facists cannot keep it in their pants.
Oh, I’m not going to pretend that lefties and liberals and democrats are sexual angels – but the difference is that they rarely are telling you to live up to a standard that they can’t live up to themselves.
Democrats are more comfortable being spouse swapping, cheating, babies out of wedlock, SMDB, not a virgin until marriage and that’s just the straight ones.
Lefties want to tell you about your public morals, not your private ones.
But, let’s go back to the Righties or, the Righteous – which is more proper name.
They seek to control how much, where, when and with whom you have sex – oh, and also how.
But they cannot be satisfied with missionary or the same person all the time.
To us on centre or left of it – this is huge hypocrisy. A sin to us, if that world had any meaning.
What we forget is that the righteous want to sin – sin is good because it means you repent. Repenting is what makes you a good person, not avoiding sinning.
Avoiding sin is kinda arrogant – what you think you’re better than the rest of us sinners?
It’s all a part of the righteous’ anti-elistist anti-intellectual and anti-moral mentality.
They want their leaders to be caught doing wrong, they want them to repent and be forgiven – because the rank and file are sinners who also want forgiveness.
Or at least to feel a little morally superior for not sinning as badly.
It’s human nature to be proud of people who rise to the top, but we all enjoy more to watch them fall.
As for “family values”, this is how their Jesus valued family:
Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Seems that Jesus wasn’t so “into” family and kinda high maintenance.
okay, I have to stop tweaking this, but it was too good a thought, or maybe i am just too tired to think now.
but falling on their family values sword and being martyred
just seemed like such an appropriate visual to the blog title.
