The need to control others
is insidious, creeping into
both subtle and not so subtle
deeds. It can be manipulative,
punishing, sly, or overly cruel.
It is easy to deny, self-rightousness
is its banner unfurled.

No one likes to be controlled.
Let’s be very clear about this–
no one! And all of us
are guilty of this at times.
Sometimes we use guilt, other times
aggressive behavior; some use passive
aggressive actions.

Watch for this in yourself and others;
check your intentions. Be villigent
about this, brothers and sisters.
Understand that it comes from a
position of fear, control, power.
The need to control is a widespread
cancer in this world.

Then rinse twice a day with fresh clean water and set in sunlight. Your sprouts will be ready to eat in a week.

personal opinions are the least authoritative or socially valid – especially when they are vapid, self interested or willfully ignorant.

subject matter expert opinions are based in training, education and work experience – these opinion have merit and validity because they are based in understanding of the issues in a larger context than self interest

professional expert opinions are the ones to most direct public policy and law, because these are derived from the highest levels of education and detailed/extensive working experience that is often too complex for the average or layperson to understand unless they put in the effort to educate themselves either formally or an interest/hobby
