Source of Inspiration

The need to control others
is insidious, creeping into
both subtle and not so subtle
deeds. It can be manipulative,
punishing, sly, or overly cruel.
It is easy to deny, self-rightousness
is its banner unfurled.

No one likes to be controlled.
Let’s be very clear about this–
no one! And all of us
are guilty of this at times.
Sometimes we use guilt, other times
aggressive behavior; some use passive
aggressive actions.

Watch for this in yourself and others;
check your intentions. Be villigent
about this, brothers and sisters.
Understand that it comes from a
position of fear, control, power.
The need to control is a widespread
cancer in this world.
