Ntrygg is Nina Tryggvason.
Second Introduction to the blog…
Hello
I’m a naturalist (aka atheist) lesbian residing in the lower mainland of British Columbia with wide ranging interests. The main themes are collected in the blog pages that serve as a Blogdex for the major and recurring themes:
- Atheism, Naturalism, Apatheism and working/playing well with others
- Homefront (BBQ, cooking, gardening and DIY),
- Random,
- Elvis,
- Lesbian
- TTI – Tips, Tricks and Invention Ideas
I will also include fun things like movie/book reviews, photography and various crafts that will often overlap with my main themes, but won’t be captured on the pages, you’ll have to click on the tags if you want to dig into earlier posts.
I love seeing comments and while I do moderate them, as long as it’s not spam and the poster isn’t a troll – all comments are welcome – especially if you disagree!
It’s funny, when I first started to blog, I was worried I’d run out of things to say – and boy the people who know me are laughing at that one.

The initial About Random Ntrygg:
I began this blog as a tool to force myself to deal with the pile of dirt in my front yard.
I decided to use basic project management to break down the project into discrete units and tack my progress in a blog and pretend that I was accountable to people.
Because it is difficult to do something on a larger scale or involves a lot of work for just yourself. It is easier to do things when you are accountable to other people, even when you take on a project yourself.
It didn’t take long to complete the work – sifting the non-dirt material out and we ended up with a lovely two tier garden box and a rock cairn garden. Two wheelbarrows worth a day for however many days.
By the time we finished the dirt project, the blog had expanded to include other topics and it continues to expand. The common wisdom is to have one blog one topic, but it’s really about me not topics so the material covered ends up quite diverse.
Especially now, as I include a new blogdex: EEC for anything specifically related to my Existential Existentialist Crisis – which naturally has influenced my understanding and writing of all the other blogdex and random topics.

I have to ask…what is a “Ntrygg” and how do you pronounce that?
I want to change the world, but I can’t crack the source code.

You know, I’m subscribed to several blogs which I read when something new is posted. When you post something new I see if I have enough time to read it slowly, digest and think about it and if I do, I read it, if not, I wait till later. And I almost never can comment because the articles seem just to finished and there’s nothing to add.
I like your work and thanks a lot!
Gosh, thank you. I’m blushing.
Hi,
You have an interesting blog, your topics are very good food for thought, I really appreciate that. I also want to thank you for inspiring me to write a post…many thanks 🙂 It’s always good to challenge each other and exchange meaningful ideas.

you’re welcome – I think that that’s the strength of the blogger community – to inspire each other to new ideas and expression.
Nice post. Thanks for sharing.
I am really digging this site! I love the way you write and the visuals.
I am operating a couple blogs here on wordpress. Look me up sometime if you would like.

I have the light and fun reading and then I have the heavy harder reading. It is a virtual smorgasboard of insanity and healing 🙂 Bon apetite!
hey, been reading your blog for about an hour or so, really enjoying it, seems like we might have some similar views, im only just starting this blog but have a look and let me know what you think!
Great reading you here, Ntrygg!
Got very interested and amused by what you say and the way you are saying it.
I had come already for a very brief visit, the first time you yourself visited my blog and left a comment on one of my posts. This time I could linger more, with great pleasure. See you on my blog too, I’m about to write an answer to what you wrote last time.
Ah, the triumvirate: Atheism, Lesbianism, and Elvis. You can’t think of one without thinking of the others, can you?
It’s like Wrapping Paper, the Loch Ness Monster, and Existentialism in that way, don’t you think? Three peas in a pod.
I can keep riffing on this all day, though doing so would amuse no one but me. Congratulations on being one of the interesting ones out there.
