National Geographic has been a staple in many homes over the decades. While the magazine has always been about exploring and understanding our shared world, for some, it was our first encounter with seeing naked boobies published for the first time.
Which, I think might say something about civilization.
As hunter gatherers, naked boobies were a fact of daily life, no more remarkable than any other body part. But as we covered up and made society more complex and guilt/shame ridden until we’re at odds with our very bodies and nature; it reassuring that National Geographic is there to remind us of other times, when there was no real dividing line between educating ourselves and enjoying naked boobies at the same time.
Which is entirely off topic, to my marking my National Geographic photo gallery, which does not contain any naked boobies.
